Right, so as someone who's clocked over 200 hours, I've found some tips and tricks that can help on the battlefield. Some are simple, but often neglected. Others are a little a little more complex, but can be worth the time. This is by no means a definitive word on everything that can be done in BF3, but how knows, you may still learn something that will save your bacon on the field, and give your team the edge. Now first off, this is already in our ROE, but it can not be overstated, so here it is again.

SPOT OFTEN, SPOT EVERYTHING.

This one little act can make a huge difference. If you see a sniper, even if you can't hit him, your spot will allow a counter-sniper team to do it for you. If your stuck next to an enemy tank praying to the Battlefield gods it doesn't notice you, your spot will allow an engineer or C4 toting support to come take care of it. See a Jet? Spot it so your friendly air forces can move in. See mines on the ground? Even if you don't have time to stop and clear them, spot them up. You may not hear a confirmation of this, so mash the button a little and move on. It makes a huge difference for the Tanks to see mines show up on the mini-map.

Right, so now that that's been said, lets move on to the rest of the little things. First, Specializations. If you have a Squad Spec., make sure you have it on. Rather then give just you the bonus, the Spec. now applies to your Squad-mates too. On this note, be sure to check if your Squad already has a Squad Spec. on before you use it. Specs do not stack, so two guys with Squad Sprint on will not give double the bonus, they are simply wasting a potential bonus. If possible, know who your usual Squad-mates are, and have everyone use a single Spec. over all four of their classes. That way, even if they change class to deal with a different threat, the Spec. is still being applied. In the same vein as Specs. is Camo. Not everyone pays attention to it, but taking an extra moment at the beginning of the match to adjust your camo could make a difference. Case and point, how easy is it to see a Recon in the desert when he's wearing Jungle green?

Now I see most of our guys already doing this, but just to put it in the memo, make sure to use your classes' specialty. If your an assault, throw out Med-packs. The same goes for support and Ammo. If your not putting down a new box before and after every engagement, your not using this feature often enough. Support, keep your team topped up on Ammo. If everyone is working right, they are gonna need it all. Assault, fire-fights are dangerous. Give us some healing so we can keep shooting back. Special Note to Assault: Practice Safe-Revives! If a body didn't fall behind cover, make sure the area is clear before reviving. Being revived just to be shot again is no fun, and keeps your team mate off the field and out of the fight even longer then just letting them die and respawn.
